                              "Veteran's Day 2004"
Have You Huged A Vet Today ??

                                                 "One Day"

They weren't all there by choice,
  and many never returned.

The one's that are here have a voice,
and it's one that they have earned.

I'm proud to stand beside them,
and show them that I care.

The way that they were treated,
  was not very fair.

The country that they served,
  and many of them died;

Did not recieve them home that well,
  most didn't even cry.

I find it very sad,
that America could be so cruel.

I thought our country was founded,
on the Bible and the Golden Rule.

If we cannot treat others,
  with respect and love.

How can we expect our Father,
  to send blessings from above?

So when you see a Veteran,
be kind with what you say.

That man or woman is somebody's child,
it could be your child in their shoes,
                one day.

This is a poem my Daughter wrote for me in 1999.
She read it to me and the other nam Vets on Vietnam Day  Veterans Week 2002.
It's a great feeling when your kids would rather be with you and your Vet friends than anywhere else.
Please sign her guest book . Thank you
